We all know how easy it is for an identity thief to get our information. It could happen at a doctor's office, a drive thru restaurant or most commonly the internet. But now we have to worry about cops stealing our identity. What; Cops? The very people that are supposed to protect us from these lazy animals that take millions of our hard earned dollars.
This morning FBI agents arrested a Sweetwater Police Department officer on fraud charges. It's all here in this article from the miamihearald.com.
What is this country coming to? Is there anyone left to trust?
Yes the FBI did a good job on this one. But how many more are doing the same thing and have been doing it for years? Who would think after finding that their identity was stolen that "Oh yeah, I was pulled over by a cop a few months ago, maybe he stole my identity!" Not one person would suspect that a cop would do such a thing. But there you have it. According to the Miami Herald's article, this year, three cops have been accused of ID theft related crimes in the Miami area alone.
